Jo, aber immerhin. So gibt's wenigstens einige code-free Titel.
BTW, Eindrücke zu den gezeigten Spielen aus dem GAF:
"Warhawk: Rogue Squadron with hi res textures and clouds. The clouds are impressive from a technological perspective, but it's not very interesting to be honest. NOT E3 trailer standard but decent looking. The game will be shown off properly at E3 and they alluded to having more impressive gameplay concepts to show. I hope they deliver."
"Warhawk, while looking great, was essentially a barren section of ocean with a lot of fighter ships (they were aiming for a hundred for the final game) going around destroying larger vessels and some nice looking water (wave simulation with procedural animation) and clouds (volumetric raytracing). Overall it was a great demo but a far cry of what was shown last year and gave a nice sobering introduction to the rest of the demos which was shown towards the end. Fortunately it will be playable at E3."
Uh, wenn nicht mal die E3-Trailer-Quali erreicht wird, ist es imo enttäuschend. Selbst bei dem Trailer war nur das Wasser atemberaubend, alles andere "meh".
"MotorStorm: Wreckless Next Gen + cool-ass mud deformation that affects gameplay (bikes getting stuck in the mud and so on). Frame rate was unimpressive, graphics were okay, bar cheap looking mud particles and textures. It was still early, so I'd assume this will improve. There was a cool particle feature where the player painted a van by splattering mud on it."
"Next up was Motorstorm and just like Warhawk was no where near the E3 target render. The car models and physics were decent although the texturing and the environment was PS2 level of quality. The real star of the demonstration was the deformable terrain which worked quite well with the physics of the cars. The demo also had HDR, post processing effects, and occlusion."
Hm, immer noch nicht schlauer, wohl in jedem Fall ein klarer Unterschied zum Rendertrailer. Allerdings fixt mich der Wreckless-Vergleich ungemein an. *g*
"Resistance: Gears of War pretty, but environments were not very interactive. Looked cool. Nice weapons inspired from RnC including a bouncing bullet, a bullet grenade and a black hole gun. The game didn't look very compelling, but it WAS E3 trailer quality. Being as it was a tech orientated conference, I'll assume that the gameplay meat will be focused on at E3. Ted Price claimed that PS3 has the potential to create, "more per frame than any other system invented", because of the 50GB storage medium and the Cell's multiple processing ability. Promising prospect."
"The next game was Resistance, the title formally known as I-8. Out of all the games this one was the farthest along but unfortunately the least interesting. It was your standard FPS affair with highly linear levels, decent A.I. and moderately interesting weapons. The lighting/texturing/modeling was all decent but nothing groundbreaking"
Das ist zu erwarten, wird sicher ein guter Titel. Die auf der E3 gezeigten Spielszenen zeigten auch schon durchaus realistisches 360/PS3-Niveau.
Edit:
Ein Fazit zu den Spielen (ebenfalls GAF):
"It all looked good, but not mindblowing. It's current Xbox 360 level basically."
